Moth Trap 64

Just a single moth this morning in the form of a Chestnut. The good news is that this is a new species for me, I didn't see one last year, maybe because I didn't get the trap going until late April and that is right at the end of their recorded flight flight period.

Chestnut (Conista vaccinia)

Chestnut

These are my current moth totals BUT I'm in the process of re-assessing all of this so the numbers will change imminently, especially as I saw about another dozen species whilst on holiday in Cornwall last year! Watch this space as my Cornwall additions include Black Arches, Rosy Footman and Four-spotted Footman.

Life total: 102
Garden total: 99
2010 total species: 4
2010 total moths: 6
